Honestly, if the characters were all designed as regular people, I don't know how interested I'd be able to be in it.

The animation is smooth, and the colors are vibrant, and the character designs are fun. The true saving grace of this anime is the artwork. I honestly enjoy slice-of-life categories, but plot wise, Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san felt a little drab, and was, in my opinion, overall very lacking.

The episodes have a few short skits in them, which focus on things like customer service, and day-to-day activities. For an anime listed as being a comedy, there wasn't much to be found. It's extremely slice of life, to the point of being a little dull in certain areas. It's, all in all, an anime based on a manga written by a bookseller about a bookseller that writes manga (Although the part about Honda-san writing manga gets very little screen time) . As someone who is very interested in literature, I was thrilled by a cute appearing anime about books. Top speed, completely free.I was very excited when this came out, and waited for the full 12 episodes to be released so I could binge it.
